LMS – Light Management System

 Wireless communication

The connection or communication is ensured by a wireless mesh network and needs no additional control line in the ground. The lighting control can also be integrated into existing networks. Based on the range, the signal isn’t only sent to one, but also to several participants at the same time (the number depends on the local circumstances). That is why the signal can’t be interrupted by a disrupted ground connection. If a participant doesn’t respond, the signal will immediately search a “detour” in the wireless network.

Lighting when and where it is needed

The integration of sensors helps to optimize the lighting without reducing the comfort or the safety. For instance, integrated motion sensor can reduce the light intensity to a minimum value. If a sensor detects traffic participants as pedestrians, cyclists or cars, the light intensity will be increased to a defined value. Simultaneously, the command to do the same is sent to predefined neighbor luminaires to create a homogenous lighting for the roads .A further opportunity is the integration of external sensors, such as twilight switches, clocks, weather sensors, induction loops or traffic systems. Through this, the lighting can be better adapted to changing conditions.
